- How is my understanding of PYP principles and practices evolving?
I am able to relate the PYP principles to my current situation and able to identify them to specific examples in teaching.
- In what ways can I apply learning from this workshop in my own learning and teaching?
I am developing my awareness of the PYP concepts and their application.
I can relate my own teaching experience to elements of the PYP framework and also notice where I need to improve in my teaching practise.
How is agency supported and nurtured through this workshop?
The case studies are very useful in exemplifying PYP principles and practises. Collaborative exercises are also helpful, seeing other people's ideas.
- How you are applying your learning about transdisciplinarity in your school?
I am developing my ability to view subjects in a cross curricular way and am making connections between the different subjects. I am developing my awareness of linking them thematically.
- How are you using concepts to help students make meaning of and connections to their learning?
The use of concepts and related concepts gives students the opportunity to take more ownership of their learning - They are asking more questions and thinking more critically. Students are also more engaged.
- How are the approaches to learning contributing to student agency as they develop their skills to think, research, communicate, socialize and manage themselves effectively?
