Me as a PYP educator

  To be agents of your own professional learning, we invite you to select two or three teacher capabilities, based on the IB approaches to teaching, from the list below, that you would like to focus on developing in your classroom or school after this workshop.   I will situate learning in global contexts that supports students' understanding of human commonalities (for example, through transdisciplinary themes) I will focus on using the transdisciplinary themes at the core of my planning and teaching. By emphasising the themes I believe that the learning and individual subjects will take on more meaning for the students if they are able to make links to wider contexts. Module 3 Reflection

  How is my understanding of PYP principles and practices evolving? I have really enjoyed this module, understanding more about student-led inquiry. I think that this is the way that students learn best! In what ways can I apply learning from this workshop in my own learning and teaching? I will ensure that I ask questions and encourage students to ask questions throughout the learning process. This will enable me to adapt planning and enables students to become reflective practionioners. How is agency supported and nurtured through this workshop?
